By buying or using The Korean Skin Method you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.
What you are buying
A digital book: one PDF file, 257 pages, roughly 13.5 MB, delivered instantly by Gumroad after checkout. The price is $17.99 US, charged once. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and no physical product. Nothing is shipped.
Refunds
If the book is not what you hoped for, reply to your Gumroad receipt within seven days of purchase and I will refund you in full, no questions asked. You do not need to prove you deleted the file. After seven days, refunds are at my discretion — ask anyway, and I will be reasonable.
Your licence
The purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read, print and use the book for yourself and your own household. You may print pages for your own use, including the journal and checklist pages.
You may not resell it, share the file publicly, upload it to file-sharing or AI training datasets, republish its contents, or distribute copies. The text, layout and images remain my copyright.
Not medical advice
This is the part that matters most. The book is educational. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and I am not a doctor or a licensed skincare professional.
- If you have a diagnosed skin condition, an allergy, or you are pregnant or nursing, talk to a qualified professional before changing your routine.
- Patch test every new ingredient on your inner arm and wait 24 hours before it goes near your face.
- Stop immediately if anything stings, burns or produces a rash, and see a doctor if it does not settle.
- You use the rituals in this book at your own risk, and you are responsible for what you put on your skin.
No guarantee of results
Skin differs from person to person. I make no promise that you will get any particular result, in any particular time, or at all. The honesty section on the main page describes plainly what this book does and does not do, and it is part of these terms.
Disclosure: the narrator is AI-generated
Sun-Hee is an AI-generated persona. Her photographs, her voice in the accompanying videos and her name are synthetic. The rituals in the book are drawn from documented Korean home-care and hanbang tradition and were assembled, checked for internal consistency and written up for publication. Nothing in the book is presented as the personal medical testimony of a living individual.
Checkout and delivery
Gumroad handles payment, delivery and your purchase record as the merchant of record, under its own terms of service. Any problem with the transaction itself — a failed payment, a missing download link — is fastest to resolve through Gumroad.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, my liability arising from the book or this site is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top changes when they are. The terms in force are the ones published when you bought.
