Korean home skincare, written down properly

You do not need a more expensive shelf. You need a smaller, older routine.

The Korean Skin Method is a 257-page book of 100 numbered rituals built from rice, honey, green tea, oats and camellia oil — things you can buy at an ordinary American grocery store for a few dollars. Every ritual lists what it costs, how long it takes, how often to do it, and who it suits. It arrives as one clean, large-type PDF that reads well on a phone, a tablet, or printed and kept by the sink.

I · THE PROBLEM

The problem was never your skin. It was the shelf.

Most women I hear from are not neglecting their skin. They are doing too much to it, with too many products, bought on hope and abandoned by the fourth use.

The Cost

A drawer of expensive lessons

The serum that promised ten years back. The cream that cost more than a week of groceries. Each one was bought with hope, and each one taught the same quiet lesson about what hope costs at that price.

The Routine

Ten steps nobody keeps

A routine you cannot repeat on a tired Tuesday is not a routine. The evening ritual in this book is four steps and takes about six minutes, because that is what actually gets done every night for years.

The Barrier

Doing more, getting worse

Hot water, harsh scrubs, acids stacked on acids. Skin that stings, flakes and shines by noon is usually skin that has been stripped, not skin that needs another product to fix it.

V · THE HONEST VERSION

What this book will not do for you

I would rather you read this part and decide against it than buy it expecting something else.

VI · WHO IT IS FOR

Written for a specific woman

This is for you if

  • Your bathroom drawer holds more bottles than results
  • You want a routine that costs a few dollars a week
  • You will give something three weeks before judging it
  • You would rather understand your skin than follow a trend
  • You want pages you can print and keep by the sink

This is not for you if

  • You want a visible change this week
  • You need treatment for a diagnosed skin condition
  • You are after product reviews and shopping links
  • Six minutes at night is more than you will spend
  • A synthetic narrator bothers you — Sun-Hee is an AI-generated persona
Sun-Hee
"People ask if I am forty. I tell them: no, but my grandmother's methods are three hundred."
SUN-HEE

Sun-Hee is the narrator of this book and the host of the Sun-Hee channel: a Korean-American woman in her fifties who learned hanbang home care from her grandmother in the Korean countryside, carried it to an American kitchen, and found that every ingredient was already on the grocery shelf for a few dollars.

She is also, openly, an AI-generated persona — the face, the voice and the name. The rituals are not. They are drawn from documented Korean home-care and hanbang tradition and written up with the measurements, costs and timings made exact.

REFUND

Seven days, no questions asked

Read the whole thing. If it is not what you hoped for, reply to your Gumroad receipt within seven days and I will refund you in full. You keep the file — I am not going to ask you to prove you deleted a PDF. I would rather have a clean refund than an unhappy reader.

VII · BEFORE YOU ASK

The questions I get most

What exactly arrives after I buy?

One PDF: The Korean Skin Method, 257 pages, about 13.5 MB. Gumroad emails you the download link within a minute or two of checkout, and the file stays in your Gumroad library so you can download it again on another device. There is no waiting list, no drip-fed lessons, and no second file to hunt for — everything described on this page is in that one document.

Can I read it on my phone? Can I print it?

Yes to both. It is set in large type with generous margins, so it reads comfortably on a phone, a tablet, an e-reader that takes PDFs, or a computer. The journal and checklist pages in Part Six were laid out specifically to be printed on ordinary letter paper and ticked off by hand.

Do I have to buy Korean products?

No. That is the whole point of the book. Rice, honey, green tea, oats, barley, cucumber, yogurt, a clean muslin cloth — an ordinary American grocery store carries all of it. Where a Korean ingredient is genuinely worth seeking out, such as camellia oil, the book names the American substitutes that work nearly as well. The one thing I do tell you to buy outright is sunscreen, at ten to fifteen dollars a tube.

Is this medical advice?

No. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or cures anything, and I am not a doctor. If you have acne, eczema, rosacea, melasma, an allergy, or any condition a dermatologist has put a name to, see the dermatologist — this book is not a substitute and says so on its second page. Patch test anything new on your inner arm before it goes near your face, and stop if something stings.

How long before I see anything?

The book asks for twenty-one days, which is roughly one turnover of the outer skin, and that is why Part Three is built around a 21-Day Beginning with a journal page for each day. Hydration and calm usually show first, within a week or two. Texture takes longer. Spots and tone are the slowest of all and are measured in months, not days.

Is checkout secure, and can I get a refund?

Checkout and delivery are handled entirely by Gumroad, a major digital storefront that processes the payment and sends the file. I never see your card details. If the book is not what you hoped for, reply to your Gumroad receipt within seven days and I will refund you in full, no questions asked.

Still thinking it over?

Fair enough. It costs about what one drugstore serum costs — except you can read the whole table of contents above before you spend anything, and there are seven days to change your mind afterwards. If it stops you buying one bottle you would not have finished, it has paid for itself.
